Nicolas ATTENOT, CEO and co-founder
After graduating from his Engineering degree in Chemistry, Nicolas started his career as a business developer for small companies. His first professional experience allowed him to gain expertise in management to lead a company. He joined then the Incubator of Lorraine as a project leader for four years. During that period, he contributed to the creation of 15 start-up companies and he participated to two fund-raisings. Thanks to his excellent communication and federative skills, Nicolas is the commercial and managing keystone of the team. His business vision is at the heart of the creation of the company Biolie.
Lionel MUNIGLIA, Scientific Director and co-founder
Lionel is an associate professor at the University of Lorraine since 2002. He graduated from his Ph.D in Biotechnology and food process, and he is since then conducting research at the LIBIO (Laboratory of Biomolecule Engineering). He is focusing his research activity on the development of clean processes in the field of Green Chemistry and White Biotechnology. As an expert in enzymatic catalysis, he designs eco-friendly processes of synthesis or extraction of molecules. He is the author of 11 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals in this field. Concerned about the valorisation of applied research, Lionel is convinced of the necessity to develop clean enzyme-assisted aqueous methods of extraction of molecules. As a researcher, his projects are oriented toward the design of sustainable processes to supply societal and industrial needs.
Guillaume RICOCHON, Technical DIrector and co-founder
After specializing in agronomy sciences, Guillaume started his professional career as a quality manager and occupied after that an engineer position in quality product in a large agricole cooperative in the Eastern region of France. He joined then the engineering education program of the ENSAIA and graduated from his Engineering degree before starting his Ph.D at the LIBIO. His thesis research is at the origin of the technology developed by Biolie from which Guillaume is the co-inventor with Dr Lionel Muniglia. He is the author of 3 scientific publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals on the topic.
Guillaume is now the technical director of Biolie, and he is responsible for the development of R&D programs and for the production division of the company. His technical skills and his broad knowledge in the field allow him to master the entire biorefining process of Biolie from the production of plants to the transformation of value-added molecules.
